
Hemp in Hawaii
Hawaii has been known for popular cannabis strains including Maui Waui and Kaua’i Electric for decades, but what about hemp on the islands today? It’s complicated to say the least, and the regulatory structure has left Hawaii farmers struggling to compete with farmers on the mainland. In this episode I sat down with Ray Maki, owner of Hawaii Nexus Hemp Farms, and his associate Jason Fried, to discuss the current landscape of hemp in Hawaii.
