The COVID-19 pandemic showed the world that our pandemic monitoring systems could not prevent and detect the scale of the pandemic in a timely manner. The responses around the world were variable and differed by region. In this episode co-hosted with MohammadAli Jardali, we discuss with Antoine Saab, PhD, Healthcare Quality and Development Manager at Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui-UMC, his project "Strengthening Lebanon's pandemic surveillance system through AI-driven automation of laboratory data", which will be funded by the Canadian AI4PEP Funding Program. We discuss the role and future of AI in healthcare, in pandemic monitoring, and in improving healthcare quality. An episode not to be missed.
