The Coronavirus: Washington Responds

I have to say, I was surprised when House Democrats and President Trump quickly reached agreement on a bill to help the American people weather the coronavirus pandemic. Just a few days ago, I predicted it would take weeks, or longer. That, of course, was based on the record of discord and disagreement that has permeated Washington ever since Trump’s election.But surprise, surprise. They actually were able to negotiate a reasonably effective solution to at least help with the economic difficulties caused by the pandemic, and now we’ll see if Mitch McConnell’s Republican-ruled Senate will take similar action in the face of this crisis that has shaken our nation.Here’s my blog from today, March 14, on Not Fake News.biz.
