Are you working less hours per week since the pandemic?
Average hours worked in Ireland fell by 6.5% between 2019 and 2024, according to a new labour market report from the Central Bank. This decline was due to fathers of young children taking more time off, however, mothers of older children increased their average working hours.
Peter Cosgrove, managing director of Futurewise, and Jennifer Keane, founder of paygap.ie, join The Last Word to discuss how household labour patterns are shifting and whether people are actually working less.
