Show Notes
At the entrance to Itamar just south of Schem is Zimmerman’s Farm. Rachel and Alon put in 17 hour days raising cows, growing fruits and vegetables, making cheeses and breads as well as harvesting eggs from their own soon to be organic chicken coop. With some of their now adult 10 children they aim to be self sustaining. Former surfer Alon speaks with Eve Harow about his idea for Environmentally Friendly Growth Enhancement Systems, using methane gas in an ecologically safe way. He explains how one can live a full Torah life while serving in the army and physically working, learning from setbacks and never losing faith. Agriculture must be a labor of love, and the mitzvah of settling the Land is greater than ever. Listen to the interesting ideas of a ’settler' who was not created in the false image the main stream press consistently portrays.
