Israel took responsibility for accidentally striking a group of Gazan aide workers this week, and opened an investigation. This is war, and mistakes certainly happen, yet this story continues to dominate the news cycle. However, when the US accidentally killed 10 civilians including seven children in Kabul in 2021, the story came and went within a matter of hours.
