Show Notes

A classic message from Zig Ziglar, an analogy he didn’t write, but he shared in such a tangible, profound way. It’s actually been used prolifically as the story of the sand dollar, and also with a starfish. As you’ll hear, Zig’s version uses the sand dollar. It’s a message that balances seeming futility with...salvation. You may well know the story, and that’s ok. Few deliver it like Zig, but the point is...dramatic. From the message, I posted this question on Facebook, “For those who truly view their work as their mission, who specifically are you devoted to saving, and how?” I’ll disclose right up front, I received far less than half the number of responses I’m used to. Why? I can’t say for sure. My inclination that i talk about in the show with Tom, is that many people don’t have an answer to this question. There were some great replies and Tom and I talked through a number of them, but we also had some in depth discussion on the topics of serving, purpose and finding fulfillment in work. I truly think you’ll get much out of this show.
