[EP 25-139] I’m old enough to remember when the national catchphrase wasn’t “Build Back Better,” but BUY AMERICAN. It wasn’t a marketing slogan—it was a wake-up call. People started noticing that the “Made in the USA” label was disappearing faster than Joe Biden memory at a press conference. Entire industries were being shipped overseas like suitcases with broken wheels. And instead of fighting for American jobs, we built a system that punished companies for making things here, and rewarded them for setting up shop in places where labor costs less than a vending machine soda. Now, I get it. Unions played their part. Many of them became bullies with lunch breaks, demanding so much that they drove companies to throw up their hands and say, “We’ll show you!” But let’s not forget who egged them on: Democrats. They coddled that selfishness, turned blind eyes to its consequences, and called it “worker advocacy.”
