This was such a powerful conversation with Texas State Representative Matt Shaheen sharing some helpful insights into the political system and how primary and general elections work. Early voting in Texas runs through Friday, February 27th and the primary election date is Tuesday, March 3, 2026. If you are in another state, make sure you check for your primary election date and get out and vote!

Gov., Attorney General, Land Commissioner, Ag Commissioner, and Railroad Commissioner are also in contested primary battles on both sides of the political spectrum!
