As anticipated, President Trump made the official announcement over the weekend that he is imposing 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico, and a 10% tariff against China. This caused a major selloff in the market. Then, not long after the market opened, he postponed the tariff against Mexico for 30 days and the market recovered.
