Tobacco settlement finalized, Holding local governments accountable, & Banning prayer in public?!

After decades of lawsuits, negotiations, and court hearings, the $32.5 billion tobacco settlement in Canada has now been finalized.

The BC government is signalling a major shift in how local governments are held accountable. 

The Quebec government says it is planning to ban prayer in public places as part of a move to strengthen secularism in the province.
