Park Board approves land use agreement for the construction of a new water main

The Vancouver Park Board has approved a proposed land use agreement from MetroVancouver, more specifically, the Greater Vancouver Water District, for the construction of a tunnel spanning 1.4 kilometres under Stanley Park and the installation of a new water main. This main is a critical piece of infrastructure for the region linking the water main that carries water from North Vancouver across Burrard Inlet and the water main that carries water into Vancouver, Richmond, and other neighbouring municipalities and First Nations communities.
