Last week, a unique pilot project has made headlines across Quebec: an innovative slow-down light a first of its kind in Canada to improve pedestrian safety, particularly in school zones. The light turns green only when motorists are obeying the speed limit, and remains red if the vehicle is traveling above the speed limit.


Vancouver city councillor Pete Fry is bringing forward a motion to council in an effort to monitor renovations and demolitions related to the Broadway Subway Project.
