Bus and Seabus workers on strike, Capping international student permits, & MPs getting 4.2% raise on April 1st!

A breakdown in contract talks between the union representing 180 transit supervisors and Coast Mountain Bus means most buses and the seabus are parked in Metro Vancouver for the next 48 hours.

The Federal government is announcing a 2-year cap on international student permits.

The Canadian Taxpayers Federation estimates members of Parliament will take a 4.2 per cent pay raise on April 1.
