Avalanche Forecasting Season Begins Next Week

Avalanche forecasting season begins next week—first forecasts will be issued Nov 23. As they don’t have a lot of data coming in from the field at the moment, we won’t be able to talk specifics in regards to backcountry conditions. Focus will be on early-season conditions in general and the hazards associated with a thin snowpack. Also general advice to backcountry users on what they should be doing to prepare for winter.
