The use of solitary confinement here in Canada has come under fire this week, after news broke about a 23 year old aboriginal man has spent the last 4 years in solitary confinement as he waits a trail for the murder of a fellow prisoner. Adam Capay has spent that past 4 years in a basement, along, in a plexiglass cell with a light 24 hours a day. Since the story came out this week, Capay has been moved to a new cell, but has apparently been having problems communicating to people and speaking.
