GUEST: DANIEL KAPELUS - Geneticist & Vaccinologist at WITS Vaccines and Infectious Diseases Analytics (VIDA) Research Unit

Daniel works alongside Prof Shabir Madhi who is internationally renowned for his research on clinical development of vaccines. Daniel is passionate about how vaccinations can save lives, and talks why South Africans need to take flu, and the flu vaccine, seriously.

Flu season usually runs between April and August.

The respiratory illness is caused by the influenza virus and spreads through droplets in the air.

This makes it very important to practice good hygiene and distancing to avoid getting sick.
