Kelly Smith and her co-accused have been convicted of kidnapping and trafficking her daughter, Joshlin Smith. The Western Cape High Court has found that the state proved beyond a reasonable doubt that Smith, her boyfriend, Jacquen Appollis and their friend Steveno van Rhyn, sold the then six-year-old girl for the purposes of exploitation.
