The winners of The Innovation Hub’s annual competition, the Gauteng Accelerator Programme (GAP), were announced on Thursday 10 December. This year’s winners will receive their share of R3 million in seed funding to further incubate and establish their businesses.
First prize winners of the Biosciences category are MicroMab Diagnostics / UP devel-oped a rapid test for SARS-CoV2. Professor Tahir Pillay, Dr Bettina Chale-Matsau, and Mr Reggie Govender, founders of MircoMab Diagnostics/UP led the winning innovation in the GAP Biosciences category receiving R500 000.
