- Marc Fleury, founder of JBoss (the original open-source Java EE application server) has announced that he will not be returning to RedHat (who acquired JBoss a few months back) as previously expected after his current paternity leave
- There is a protype implementation for the JSR 296 Swing Application Framework now available from Java.net.
