Namaz on the Roads happens only in Dar-ul-Harb - House of War or the Kafir countries, where this is used to mark territory in the manner of carnivora, and to make assertion of power and splendour, quwwat and shaukat. Fayaz Ahmad Fyazie calls it out as a typically Syed or Ashraf strategy to subdue non-Muslims in a Muslim minority area. He tells Sanjay dixit that this is not a work or piety, but rather a political statement.
