Show Notes
Unknown to most people, Fatawa Alamgiri is the Mohammedan Law in the Indian sub-continent for the majority Sunni community that essentially belongs to the Hanafi sect of Islam. Tufail Chaturvedi hosts Sanjay Dixit to go over the background to the compilation of the tome that took over 25 years, and involved more than 450 scholars from India, Persia, Arabia and Central Asia. Also discussed would be the importance for the Hindus to study this huge book to understand the mindset of the Indian Muslims.
