Show Notes

Since the recommendations to limit non-essential travel and requests for social distancing, I have temporarily stopped recording on site with clients. And while I'd love to be in the same room with someone when I record a podcast, it's simply not feasible at this time.  Today I want to provide some recommendations on equipment and strategy for recording a podcast remotely.

Microphones (most expensive first):

Electro Voice RE20 XLR Mic

Shure SM7B XLR Mic

Samson Q2U XLR/USB Mic

ATR 2100 XLR/USB Mic

Adapter:

Scarelett Focusrite XLR to USB Adapter

DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) Software (most expensive first):

Pro Tools

Logic Pro (Apple iOS only)

Adobe Audition

Hindenburg

Auphonic

Audacity
