The immediate threat to British Prime Minister Theresa May’s leadership receded this week as she made some progress and delivered a defiant speech to the Commons on Monday, setting out four Brexit backstop solutions. But even if she strikes a deal with the EU, can Mrs May get it through the house and will she have to rely on support from the Labour back benches? Denis Staunton is on the line from London.
