Show Notes

In our second episode, legendary regenerative farmer Will Harris shares his bold journey from chemical-dependent agriculture to the thriving regenerative ecosystem of White Oak Pastures.

He lays bare the toll of agrochemicals on farmer health, soil, and rural economies, and the uphill battle of breaking free from inputs like glyphosate. By rebuilding relationships with animals, land, and community, Will sparked ecological renewal and economic revival of his small hometown—offering a powerful call for consumers to help farmers escape chemical dependency and create a food system in harmony with nature.

Bio: Will Harris is a fourth-generation cattleman who has spent a lifetime on the land his great-grandfather settled in Bluffton, Georgia. Once a practitioner of conventional methods, Will made the radical choice in the mid-90s to walk away from chemical agriculture and return to the regenerative principles his ancestors once knew—principles that honour the intelligence of ecosystems and the dignity of animals.

At White Oak Pastures, his family farm, Will has cultivated more than grass-fed beef—he’s grown a movement. With deep humility and conviction, he speaks to the hard-won lessons of land stewardship, animal welfare, and rural renewal. His voice in this series is steady and unapologetically honest, reminding us what’s at stake when decisions are made for short-term yield instead of long-term harmony.
