In its third public hearing yesterday, the committee investigating the <a href="https://www.economist.com/united-states/2022/06/10/congresss-capitol-riot-hearing-confirms-donald-trumps-complicity" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">January 6th Capitol insurrection</a> detailed the pressure put on Mike Pence to overturn the 2020 election—as well as the continuing threat to American democracy posed by Donald Trump.
