For our 20th show, I welcome John Usdan, CEO of Midwood Investment and Development, a premier real estate company founded in Brooklyn, NY in 1981. For this fantastic interview, John dives into his early upbringing around real estate with his late grandfather, an immigrant from Russia who started off selling homes in Brooklyn, giving John his passion for the business. He then dives into his early deals, how he was a true pioneer in Hell's Kitchen, and some of the run-in's that he had with the FBI and labor unions at a time when they ran New York and were at their toughest. At the end of the show, I also welcome back Kirsten Beck of Avison Young, legendary architect Gene Kaufman, and Michael Santora of SB+C Architecture.
