Show Notes

France says it will recognise a Palestinian state and the UK is under pressure to follow suit. But as Israel continues its war and starvation in Gaza, will this move serve any purpose? Or is it intended to appease Western public opinion that's increasingly growing sympathetic towards the plight of the Palestinians?

In this episode:

  • Jacques Reland, Senior Research Fellow, Global Policy Institute.
  • Ulrich Brueckner, Professor Political Science, Stanford University in Berlin.
  • Afif Safieh, Former Palestinian Ambassador to the United Kingdom and United States.

Host: Adrian Finighan
