Sunday afternoon felt like a vindication for the Nations League format, which will climax in Porto next June. Have UEFA been proved right by how competitive these games are? And what connections can we draw between the teams who have been the most successful so far?
It has been a remarkable year for the England team and the team discuss the steady improvement, which meant that reaching the World Cup semi-finals has not been the peak for this team as they have continued to develop since then. The 4-3-3 appears to have made England more dangerous than the 3-5-2 ever did, but how?
Finally we look back at the England career of a man who won 11 caps under Steve McClaren as a teenager before fading into obscurity far quicker than anyone could have imagined.
