Show Notes
Pearl Gamble was 19 years old when she was murdered in January 1961. She worked as a shop assistant and had been dropped at the top of the lane close to her home, after a dance at an orange hall just outside Newry. She was brutally murdered in a nearby field in the early hours of that morning. On this week’s episode of the Indo Daily, the Belfast Telegraph’s Ciarán Dunbar investigates the crime, the murderer and last hanging in Northern Ireland.
