‘We are so back’ are the words presumably muttered by RTE 2FM higher ups, as they launched their baby-faced, influencer clad new presenting line up in recent days. But hold on a minute... Influencers on the radio, have we not had this debate before? Well despite industry and public concern and comment, RTE have held firm on their long-term strategy for our national youth broadcaster. But how important is RTE 2FM as a cultural institution, and do the youth audience they so heavily crave even care about what goes out on our radio waves?
