The Hornady Podcast

On this episode, Seth and Preston travel to Wyoming for an antelope hunt. This podcast is divided into two segments. In the first half, you'll hear us talk about the upcoming trip and all of the preparation that took place for the hunt. In the second half, you'll get an in-depth recap of a very successful harvest.

This episode was recorded in August of 2021. Seth and Preston from the Marketing Department are joined by Ryan, who is a Project Engineer at Hornady. The discussion revolves around the upcoming hunting season including what types of tags were drawn, strategies, tactics, and equipment. This episode gives you a chance to get to know Seth a bit more as well as Preston and Ryan who will be on the podcast more in the future.

On this episode, Seth and Preston from the marketing department talk with Chad Mendes. We discuss how Chad got into the hunting and outdoor lifestyle and how he was able to maintain the lifestyle while being a top-level collegiate athlete and UFC fighter. Chad explains how he utilizes and really enjoys the meat from his hunting and fishing excursions and goes over some of his current business ventures as well as his upcoming fight. We really enjoyed getting to know Chad and we hope you do too.

On this episode, we sat down with Jason Hornady, Vice President of Hornady Mfg. We didn't talk a whole lot about manufacturing or the company, but rather what kind of baseball player he was and what kind of car he drove growing up. We discussed his work experience prior to coming back to the family business, and of course we discussed his favorite cartridges and hunts - we hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did!

On this episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with the president of our company Steve Hornady. We centered our discussion around Steve himself and less about the company as a whole. Steve was born in 1949, the same year that the company was founded. We talked to him about his childhood, his father and founder of the company, Joyce, as well as his cowboy days and a few of his favorite and most memorable hunts. This conversation gave us an inside look at the life and legacy of Steve Hornady.
