Ted Kitchel left the family farm in Galveston and made his way down to Bloomington, bringing his hard-nosed play and sweet stroke along for the ride. By the time he’d left, Kitch was an All-Conference and All-American player, a 3-time Big Ten Champ, and oh yeah… he won a National Championship in 1981.
