This episode we examine the lives of two of the most influential bureaucrats of the early Cold War Molotov Soviet Foreign Minister and James Forestall the first US secretary of defense. We will examine their meteoric rises to power in the 1920s and 1930s and their subsequent falls from power in the late 1940s. Including Forestalls controversial descent into madness and suicide.
