Melbournians will be allowed to reunite with their loved ones for private gatherings earlier than planned, as the city’s lockdown officially ends on Friday after a world-record 263 days. Fully vaccinated people who visit Tier 1 exposure sites will only need to quarantine for seven days as part of a major overhaul of the strict isolation rules.
