Weeks after a popular sunscreen was withdrawn from sale in Australia for containing the cancer causing chemical benzene, a US laboratory claims an anti-ageing cream ingredient, Octocrylene, contained in sunscreen degrades into a toxic chemical, benzophenone, a known carcinogen. Pressure is mounting on the state government to release the Mornington Peninsula from lockdown and offer it the same benefits as the rest of regional Victoria. A new study shows that a year after giving birth, the “biological age” of mothers who slept less than seven hours a night at the six-month mark was three to seven years older than those who logged seven hours or more. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are still finalising their high-profile divorce but it seems there is no bad blood between the former power couple.
