This week we’re in conversation with another wonderful guest… recorded with a live audience.

Canadian born, now living in Holland, Dr Jenn Salib-Huber is a Registered Dietitian and Naturopathic Doctor but let’s make it clear, while we ARE talking about eating, we are NOT talking about dieting!

As any regular listeners to the show will know, my own relationship with food has been on a long journey to get to where I am today.

Since completely reframing my own attitudes and choosing to ‘eat food that loves me’, rather than food I thought I loved, I feel like I now sit comfortably in my body - complete with all its perfect imperfections. Wrinkles and saggy parts included!

To clarify why I wanted to share Jenn’s work, here’s an extract from her website:

“Like so many women, I began dieting at a young age and went on to become a “professional dieter”. I longed to see the “thin ideal” staring back at me in the mirror for most of my adult years. But despite doing all the “right” things, exercising, trying every new diet, AND getting two degrees related to nutrition, my body fought back.”

Jenn also happens to be a woman in peri-menopause. And this has become her area of specialism. She now works with women who are struggling to manage the changes that come with peri-menopause and menopause and are looking for effective evidence-based integrative treatment options and practical nutrition advice.

However! The approach she shares in the episode applies to us all.

In fact I would say her whole philosophy is that there is no one-size-fits-all, and so there are no rules here. Just expertise and experience presented with warm-hearted clarity.

I hope you enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed speaking with her.
