A protest has taken place outside the Dáil today calling for a Gaelcholáiste to be established in an area of Dublin where there are five Gaelscoils.
Parents and teachers are saying it is shortsighted of the Department not to have more options in place.
So is there a need for more Gaelcholáisti and do parents want their children taught through Irish?
