The final review into the Cervical Check controversy has found that substantial progress has been made. In 2018, Dr Gabriel Scally published his report into the scandal and made 50 recommendations for change. That same year, the HSE confirmed over 200 women had developed cervical cancer after a mis-diagnosed cervical check test result
