We are often so preoccupied with our lives doing day-to-day work, rushing through projects and business deals that we forget to stop and enjoy life. Life is too short to postpone your passions so balance the things you need to do with the things you want to do. Yes, I am encouraging you to do things that have no monetary reward (you may even have to pay for them). What is it all for if you’re not having fun and enjoying yourself along the journey? It’s time to identify what non-work-related activities you love to do and schedule them into your weekly routine. Whether it’s an oil painting, swing dancing, playing pick-up basketball or playing cards, swimming or knitting, this is where you give yourself permission to do the thing and do it regularly!
