HH #442: Trusting God when life disappoints with Mitchel Lee

HH #442: Trusting God when life disappoints with Mitchel Lee

“It’s okay to name your desire to the Lord, and it’s okay to speak your disappointment to Him.” Mitchel Lee is a Maryland native and has served as Lead Pastor since August 2016. His passion is to be a bridge-builder between generations and ethnicities both in the US and internationally through leadership development and church-planting. Mitchel’s first book, Even If, was released in August of this year! This conversation cuts deep. We talk through a lot of “Even if” scenarios and how important it is to decide that God is good before the outcome. We dive into grief and lament and being open about our disappointments with God. When we want something, when something matters to us, we don’t have to pretend like it doesn’t. We don’t have to brush it off and say “oh, it’s fine.” We can feel and express that disappointment to Him, but proclaim “Even if...you are still good.” I needed this reminder today.
