Afghanistan won the toss and elected to bowl, they held Sri Lanka to a managable 240 by chipping wickets away constantly Fazalhaq Farooqi picking up 4 wickets and player of the match in the process. Losing Gurbaz in the first over wasn't going to deny them as they chased down Sri Lanka's score with 5 overs to spare.
