The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee....AND this episode of The Great Dive Podcast. Now that the skies of November have turned gloomy, the boys dedicate this episode to the sinking and diving of the iconic Great Lakes shipwreck.... The Edmund Fitzgerald... the legendary singer Gordon Lightfoot with his ballad "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" has immortalized this shipwreck for both non divers and divers alike. On this 47th anniversary of the sinking of The Fitz, the boys discuss some of the circumstances surrounding the tragic sinking in 1975 and the diving of the Fitz 20 years later in 1995 by Terrence Tysall and Mike Zee.
