Show Notes

Good afternoon! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Georgia Weather Podcast. It's Saturday, February 19th. Folks, here's the deal. Mother Nature is pulling a fast one on us today. Half the state feels like spring. The other half is getting a bath. Down along the coast, Savannah and the islands are soaking up 81 degrees with a gentle southwest breeze at 7 to 10 miles an hour. That's borderline beach weather. But you'll want to enjoy it early, because scattered showers crash the party by afternoon and could linger into the evening. Now head inland to Metro Atlanta. You're waking up to a mild 67 degrees, which sounds lovely until the clouds muscle in. Showers roll through by late morning, and rain is likely all afternoon. Light northeast winds, nothing dramatic. Just wet. Eastern Georgia gets the worst of it. Rain is likely all day long, with temperatures stuck near 68 degrees. Northeast breezes keep things moving, but your umbrella is earning its keep today. One bright spot? Sunset tonight is at 5:19, and we're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight every single day. Spring is tiptoeing closer. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. Sunday the rain clears out and cooler air settles in. Highs drop into the 50s across most of the state. Think sweatshirt weather. Then a slow, steady warm up kicks in midweek. Dry skies stick around, and by Thursday, southern Georgia could flirt with 70 degrees again. That's the kind of rebound that makes you love living here. So. If you're enjoying these daily updates, share us with a friend. Word of mouth is how we grow, and we appreciate every single one of you. Stay dry out there this afternoon. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow. Take care!
