Show Notes

Good morning! I'm Aaron Jolly, and welcome to the Georgia Weather Podcast. It's Friday, February 16th, and folks, Mother Nature is running two completely different playbooks across the state today. Here's the deal. Step outside in Metro Atlanta and you'll feel 75 degrees. That's mid April energy in the middle of February. Light northwest winds around 10 miles an hour. Skies mostly clear. Tonight dips to a pleasant 55 degrees. Tomorrow? More of the same sunshine. Now head down to the coast. Savannah and the islands are pushing 81 degrees. That's borderline beach weather. But here's the thing. Southwest winds pick up between 9 and 13 miles an hour, and showers could crash the party. Tonight stays balmy at 68 degrees. Tomorrow brings more warmth, but you'll want to keep one eye on those scattered storms. Meanwhile, Eastern Georgia didn't get the memo. Highs struggle to hit 60 degrees under stubborn clouds. Rain is more likely there. Lows tonight drop to 45 degrees, and tomorrow stays cool and damp. Classic Georgia. A 21 degree spread across one state. Quick bright spot. We're gaining nearly 3 minutes of daylight every single day now. Sunrise at 6:33 A.M., sunset at 5:18 P.M. Spring is creeping closer whether the calendar agrees or not. Air quality sits moderate today, so outdoor plans are a go. Just check the radar if you're near the coast. Here's your heads up for the week ahead. A slow warming trend builds for most of the state. The coast stays a little unsettled with on and off rain chances. No major storms lurking. Just pack layers because Georgia will keep you guessing. By midweek, even the cooler spots should feel that warmth knocking on the door. One more thing. If this forecast helped you plan your Friday, share it with a neighbor. It really does help us grow. Stay safe out there. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
