Show Notes

Aloha! If you ever wanted to know what its like to survey in Hawaii...THIS is the episode for YOU! The guys were joined this week by Meyer Cummins, Land Boundary Surveyor V in the Land Survey Division for the State of Hawaii and Craig Clouet, Data Scientist, State Disaster Management, State of Hawaii. Meyer is the son of two professional land surveyors and Craig has won an ESRI SAG Award...talk about two unique perspectives! We touched on how the HI cadastre was established and is maintained, volcanos, shifting techtonic plates, wildfires, monument preservation, and the roles land surveyors can play in disaster management plans! Take more time to educate the public, make sure new surveyors know why they're pushing the buttons, make your community a better place and most importantly, don't be an as*hole! Music by Steve Miller Band!
