Manhood is under all-out assault, but nobody is going after womanhood or certain cultural groups with this level of antipathy. What’s the deal? The commitment is to the unraveling of a society, and any remnants of manhood and fatherhood stands in the way of that. But, God is gracious to His people, and there are still islands of redemption left in a dying world. When it comes to masculinity, conservatives and liberals tend to get it wrong. The Bible doesn’t speak to machismo and aggression. The Bible speaks to categories like faith, work, sacrifice, watchfulness, prayer, headship, and responsibility.
