The more fundamental issue that nobody really wants to talk about is — why do parents insist on surrendering the responsibility for medical care to the state? Socialist medicine will naturally undermine parental rights. Tom and Kate already surrendered decision-making to the state when they signed up for socialist medicine. Now, California families who check their kids into public schools in Orange County must subject their children to the Sodomy 101 classes too. The battle for parental rights is real, but parents are going to have to make the call before they sign up for socialist education and socialist medicine.
