Some stories of redemption present a sharper picture, especially when we come upon the stories of torture and abuse. This story is especially powerful, as God's redemption comes to a man who faced serious abuse as a little boy between his second and thirteenth year. The book is entitled "The Creaking of the Stairs." Author Mez McConnell is pastor of Niddrie Community Church near Edinburgh.
