Gary and Kim return to the conversation of 1 Corinthians 15 by discussing parallel passages in 2 Corinthians. We must take all of the New Testament into consideration to fully understand what Paul is teaching about the future state and our own personal resurrection. Paul speaks corporately at times and individually at others, but we can't allow either one to define the other.

These events cannot be what modern pastors and speculators are claiming, without making complete nonsense of what the book of Revelation says about how it is to be understood.

Gary discusses recent comments from some leftists about "taxing rich people"—like Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk—at a higher rate. This is such an illogical idea, for many reasons, as Gary makes clear. People rarely think beyond their own situation and are driven by envy to "get those rich people."

Gary responds to claims made by Pastor Loran Livingston in a sermon, where he calls the Trump Bible "disgusting" because it includes the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. Gary also weighs in on Pastor Livingston's claim that Earth is not his home, as well as his own thoughts about adding extra material to printed Bibles.

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 72 Gary responds to a dispensationalist pastor who takes issue with something said by John Rich on a recent podcast with Tucker Carlson. The pastor claims that what Rich was saying was not only misleading, but flat-out false about what Dispensationalism and Christian Zionism teach regarding Israel's future. Gary points out that this pastor doesn't understand his own position clearly enough.

Gary discusses the classic Christmas film, Miracle on 34th Street. He points out many instances of how this film (and every film for that matter) presents opportunities for thinking through worldviews and Christian apologetics. Many questions are asked throughout the movie that may seem silly at first glance but are actually quite perceptive and help highlight the issue of ultimate authority.

Rick Welch invited Gary back to his Burros of Berea podcast to discuss Christmas films and the two discuss many festive movies that might be unfamiliar to most listeners. Gary loves older movies from the Golden Age of Film and highlights and analyzes some of his favorites.

Like many in Israel at the time of Jesus' birth, Christians today are looking for a political savior to rescue them and break the chains of tyranny. Christian leaders tell people to look up and ahead to Jesus' second coming and rejoice that their "redemption is drawing near" (Luke 21:28). But was this the response of Simeon and Anna? The harlot in Revelation 17 has been given hundreds of identities over the years, but they have all been wrong, and so is this one regarding the Statue of Liberty.

Gary welcomes Kim Burgess back to answer a listener's question about 1 Corinthians 15:24–28. The preliminary work of Christ in the period of AD 30 to 70 was to bring in the Kingdom of God. That work specifically involved making of none effect the "rulers, authorities, and powers" (vs. 24) that stood in the way of the coming of the Kingdom, referred to in vs. 25 as Christ's "enemies."

Gary discusses education and how children are being taught today compared to 50 years ago. Tried and true methods like memorizing math facts and phonics are being replaced by "new" methods that were promised to work better. They haven't, and states like Mississippi are going back to the "old" ways and seeing great improvements.

Many of these "signs" hinge on Israel, and one of the big ones is the "regathering" of Jews into the land. Gary shows how this prophecy from Isaiah has already been fulfilled.

We must read and interpret the Bible, especially prophetic passages, with that historical awareness in mind.

Gary and Kim Burgess conclude their discussion of 1 Corinthians 15. In verse 52, the Apostle Paul mentions "the last trumpet" and in 1 Thessalonians 4:16 he also connects the last trumpet with a "shout." Trumpets and shouts should remind us of Jericho, and Kim brings up many other verses in the Old and New Testaments that help us to understand what Paul is teaching in 1 Cor 15.

Gary comments on an article that claims the current "replacement theology" affecting the Church is replacing Christ with Israel. Evangelicals' obsession with promoting American involvement with and financial and military support of Israel in any and every situation is claimed to be the Christian approach, but is this really the case?

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 67 Gary picks up where he left off last week, discussing modern prophetic speculation about current events, which, in reality, is nothing new. The same texts are interpreted, re-interpreted, and even modified to fit the "facts" of our current world in order to make the Bible "fit" what's being claimed by authors, pastors, and prophecy pundits.

Gary continues speaking with Kim Burgess about 1 Corinthians 15 and the timing and nature of the resurrection. Kim continues teaching about Sheol, the realm of the dead, and how Jesus gave victory over it. Believers no longer die and go to Sheol, they immediately enter the presence of Christ. As Paul taught, "to live is Christ and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21) and "absent from the body, present with the Lord" (2 Cor. 5:8).

Gary discusses the current state of eschatology debates online. It can be easy to become dismissive of others who can't understand or agree with your position, but Gary has a different approach. He often says, "Don't give a reason for people to reject your position except the position itself."

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 66 Gary discusses how "end-times" prophecy is overflowing on social media lately and how many are claiming that we are in the last days. Anyone with a computer and a camera is able to share their "biblical studies" and "insights" into current events and the Bible, but none of them are honest enough to admit that this has been going on for decades with similar failed results.

Gary continues going through 1 Corinthians 15 with Kim Burgess. In this episode, they discuss death as being the final enemy. Kim brings up some very interesting points that are not obvious from our English translations. Sheol, or the realm of the dead, was a very big topic in the mind of first century Jews and this is what Paul is addressing.

Gary continues his discussion with Kim Burgess on 1 Corinthians 15. In this episode, Kim walks through the Apostle Paul's "seed analogy" and some of the Greek behind the terms he uses. Paul uses wheat, but Kim changes it to corn to make the point clear: what goes in the ground (what is sown) is not what comes out of the ground (what is raised). The final result is much more glorious than how it began.

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 65 Gary shares his takeaways and summary of the recent discussion/debate he had with Douglas Wilson in Moscow, Idaho. It was a rare occasion for honest discussion on a topic that remains hotly contested among Christians of all types.

Gary begins a series of podcasts on 1 Corinthians 15 with Kim Burgess. In this first one, the two survey the interpretative "land" and with a quick history about how Christians have viewed this chapter and how it relates to eschatology and our future state in a "spiritual body." The defeat of evil and of demonic powers is associated with Halloween. For this reason, Martin Luther posted his 95 challenges to the wicked practices of the Church to the bulletin board on the door of the Wittenberg chapel on Halloween. He picked his day with care, and ever since Halloween has also been Reformation Day. The power of Satan has been broken once and for all, and our children can mock him by dressing up like ghosts, goblins, and witches.

Gary discusses several recent news events, including a crazy leftist relationship coach claiming Taylor Swift is showing her "tradwife" leanings by wanting to have children. The author claims Swift wanting to have children with her future husband, who is also white, is a new form of racism that perpetuates "white culture" and "white supremacy."

The two discussed what is known as Jesus' Olivet Discourse a few years back, and this conversation picks up where they left off, continuing through Matthew 25. Many commentators see a break in the events of Matthew 24, with part of it being fulfilled in the first century and the rest being fulfilled in our future. Is this valid? Every Fourth of July, we celebrate the "birth of the United States," but this is not quite accurate. The nation of America was born much earlier in the colonies. Thirteen colonies with independent governments and intact constitutions were operating in 1776. Gary discusses the early history of the colonies, and how they founded their laws and constitutions on the Bible.

It has been announced that Gary and Doug Wilson will discuss eschatology in a three-hour event in Moscow, Idaho in early November. Gary discusses this opportunity as well as some of the critics voicing their opposition to it due to "platforming heresy." It is a tired play that has been done before.

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 62 Gary explains why he spends so much time writing and talking about Bible prophecy—it's a worldview issue. He discusses some of his own personal history and the cultural climate of the last few decades that forced him to begin studying the topic. Worldviews are "package deals," which means what you believe about the future (as well as the past) affects what you do in the present.

Gary discusses Rep. Rosa DeLauro, who is now trying to teach how the Bible applies to everyday life, especially economics. Apparently, separation of church and state doesn't apply during times of government shutdowns. Rep. DeLauro mentions a few parts of the Bible, but never gives any context for what she is claiming the Bible is teaching about the poor.

Gary talks about the recent brokered peace deal by Trump between Israel and Hamas. The entire saga has been going on for nearly 1400 years and peace will never be lasting, because of the religious views of the Muslims. Gary provides a biblical, historical, and logical overview of the whole idea of trying to bring political peace while ignoring the religious aspect of the divide.

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 61 Gary concludes his response to Amir Tsarfati about Israel being saved and God's promises to them. Amir's dispensationalism teaches a 2000-year gap (and counting) between what God promised and what is happening with Israel now. To make matters worse, Amir's beliefs also have a huge time of trouble and tribulation for the Jews.

Gary points out how much disagreement and confusion exists in popular media and Christian pastors about the future of Israel. The very prophetic system that most of them hold to teaches that the next thing on the prophecy clock for Israel is a terrible holocaust where two-thirds of them will be killed.

Gary points out that the mainstream media's obsession with the boogeyman of Christian Nationalism is a willful ignorance of Islamic Nationalism. Muslims have no problem admitting that their goal is total domination through conversion or submission. And yet, Leftists don't seem to be bothered by this and focus more on Christian Nationalists as the problem.

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 60 Gary continues his response to Amir Tsarfati, who tried to take Kirk Cameron to task for comments he made about Israel. Gary shows how inconsistent, ahistorical, and unbiblical Tsarfati's view of Bible prophecy really is. It is nothing more than repackaged information from many other dispensational speculators over the last 50 years.

Gary is interviewed by Rick Welch about the 3Q Controversy and how his podcast played a role in it. Gary gives much more clarity and the historical background about how the controversy began, as well as where it seems to stand currently. Also during that same time, Gary and Kim Burgess did another podcast in 25 parts called Covenant Hermeneutics and Biblical Eschatology.

Gary discusses celebrities like Rosie O'Donnell, Robin Wright, and Ryan Gosling who have decided to move away from the United States for political reasons. Gary points out that not only are these people multimillionaires and able to do such things, what they are really doing is what is best for them, not for the underrepresented people that they claim to care about.

Bible Prophecy Under the Microscope-Episode 59 Gary responds to a recent video by Amir Tsarfati in response to something posted by Kirk Cameron. The topic is regarding comments made by Ted Cruz on Tucker Carlson's show about the continuing importance of Israel as a nation in God's redemptive plan in Genesis 12.
